Iran self-sufficient in producing defense hardware: IRGC
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 2, IRNA -- Iran has achieved self-sufficiency in manufacturing defense hardware for the strategic and deterrent purposes, Deputy Commander of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier-General Hossein Salami said on Monday.
'We have no difficulty to reconstruct our infrastructures, especially our defensive infrastructure,' he said.
We can manufacture and renovate independently the strategic and deterrent defense hardware we need, General Salami said.
'For example, we have successfully developed drones with a flight range of 3,000 kilometers,' the IRGC General said.
Salami said that the global arrogant powers have been trying to alter the geopolitical identity of the World of Islam, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, but to no avail.
'But we managed to shift their focus away from Iran and got them involved in other areas.'
