Larijani: President's order on missile program, answer to US bullying
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Bushehr, Jan 2, IRNA -- Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said the order of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to accelerate the country's missile program came as an answer to the American strong-arm decisions.
Talking to reporters after arrival in this Persian Gulf province here on Saturday, he said Iran deals with the US adventurist policies with patience and in a well-calculated manner and then opts for one of the many decisions at hand.
He said President Rouhani's decision regarding sustaining and expanding Iran's missile program came in the same line.
In the course of the nuclear negotiations, he said, the Iranian nation followed a path which would in no way damage its interests thanks to the basic reason that Iranians possess a vast knowledge about peaceful use of nuclear technology.
He said no one is capable of depriving the Iranian nation of its scientific achievements.
He added Iran accepted the proposal of nuclear negotiations offered by western countries with a strong attitude and then embarked in talks which led to an agreement signed by all parties.
Now, he stressed, if any of the signatories takes any action in violation of the agreement, it will be isolated and blamed by other countries.
Referring to the new sanctions proposed in the US budget bill concerning visa regulations, Larijani said the European Union and a number of other countries have protested to such a law.
Stressing that such a behavior will earn Americans nothing at all, the Speaker said the Iranian parliament is ready to take proper measures in the next year budget bill in answer to the improper US decision.
