Iran receives high-standard uranium stockpile since Islamic revolution

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran has received the most high-standard and most volume of uranium stockpile (yellow cake) since the Islamic Revolution of Iran, following uranium exchange between Iran and Russia, Hamid Baeidinejad who is the director general for political and international security affairs at Iran's Foreign Ministry said.
One of the hardest articles of the JCPOA was implemented in one of the most complex uranium stockpile transfer operations from Iran, he said.
He said that the operation was conducted through coordination with Russia and Kazakhstan, adding Norway and Azerbaijan played a leading role in the operations.
Iran sold 9 tons of extra enriched uranium stockpile as well as wastes for its fuel plate to Russia, he said, adding Iran bought yellow cake based on its equivalent international standard price from Russia.
He said that Iran has joined the countries exporting nuclear enriched material for the first time.
