Baeedinejad: Now it is turn of IAEA to prove itself
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA -- Iranian Foreign Ministry Director General for Political and International Affaris Hamid Baeedinejad said on Monday that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should prove itself taking unbiased stance prior to releasing its final report.
He said on his Instagram account that it is the time for the international community to see whether or not the IAEA is functioning.
In fact the report on Possible Military Dimensions (PMD) will be written by IAEA Deputy Director General Tero Varjoranta for the Safeguards Agreement, he said.
There is no doubt that the role of IAEA Chief Yukiya Amano as highest official at the IAEA in making the final decisions on strategic and managerial policies will be indicated in the draft report being drawn up and released by Tero Varjornata and his technical team, he said.
Unfortunately, the policy of former IAEA deputies director-general for the Safeguards Agreement were biased about the Iranian nuclear program, he said.
IAEA Deputy Director General Tero Varjoranta has adopted a different attitude with Iran during his tenure over the past two years, he said.
Tero with his clam character avoids political hue and cry and shows no interests in taking part in controversial interviews for political agenda and in general he only minds his own professional career, he said.
There is no doubt that the moderate behavior of Tero in the past two years have left remarkable impacts on resolution of the outstanding issues with IAEA, he said.
