Supreme Leader: Iran backs gov'ts withstanding hegemonic powers

Tehran, Nov 24, IRAN -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran backs the governments withstanding the hegemonic powers.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales.
The Supreme Leader hailed the brave resistance of Bolivia along with a number of Latin American countries to the hegemonic powers, the US perilous policies in the world and in the South American region for changing identity of the youths.
The Islamic Republic of Iran was the first country in the world which put an end to the rein of the US with reliance on its people and independent leadership of late Imam Khomeini and strongly resisted to the then East and West imperialism and suffered all types of military, security and economic pressures, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
To the same token, the Islamic Republic of Iran supports any government anywhere withstanding the hegemonic powers and their dominance, the Supreme Leader said.
Referring to ample of untapped potentials nd talents in Bolivia, the Supreme Leader said the capabilities could be utilized to broaden relations in confrontation with bullying powers.
Bolivia should keep it in mind to attain progress in hardware as well as in software to secure the country's political and economic independence, the Supreme Leader said.
'If the US will be successful in attaining their goals and change the minds of the youths to American life-style, they can easily dominate countries without coup or taking tough action,' said the Supreme Leader.
With reliance on Almighty God and strong resolve, it will be possible to win the campaign, underlined the Supreme Leader.
Bolivian president for his part, expressed satisfaction over the visit and said 'We regard your Excellency as our father and leadership to all independent revolutions mainly those in the Latin American region and have learned a lot from your preaching.'
'Through nationalizing Bolivian oil industry, we stabilized our independence and sovereignty and put an end to years of aggression by west,' he said.
Bolivian gross domestic product is over dlrs 36 billion which has increased four folds compared to the then era, Morales said.
Referring to invaluable experiences and scientific capabilities of Iran, he said Iran and Bolivia have cultural and historical bonds and it is expected the trend to be continued in all fields, Bolivian president said.
Bolivia has always backed Iran's stand and is quite sure that the country will pave the path rigorously, he said.
Expansion of cooperation with revolutionary and resistant countries such as the Islamic Republic of Iran will give Bolivia more strength, resistance and stability, Morales said.
