Iran unveils new radar system

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran launched a radar system dubbed 'Fath 14' in a massive military drill dubbed 'Muharram' and is underway in western and northwestern Iran.
The radar system has been designed by Iranian experts and was used in the drill, said the Exercise Spokesman Massoud Moghaddas.
It is used for radar coverage gaps, he said, adding it is of 600 kilometers range and is regarded as high-altitude radar.
The system is used for identifying tiny flying objects. It is of high resistance in electronic wars and is one of the best equipment for missile systems.
This is the first radar system of this model unveiled in the Middle East.
It is capable of identifying strategic goals of enemy in all dimensions as far as its range allows. It can be connected to the commanding network easily. It is tactical and semi-conductor.
