Iran's Guardian Council of the Constitution has approved the nuclear deal Tehran negotiators agreed on earlier this year with the six world powers, local media reported Wednesday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the IRNA news agency, the Guardian Council of the Constitution approval means that the law has entered into force.
The Iranian parliament approved the deal earlier in October.
The P5+1 group of international mediators, comprising Russia, the United States, China, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, signed a deal with Iran aimed at keeping Tehran's nuclear program peaceful in exchange for sanctions relief on July 14.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is expected to provide a final assessment of Tehran's compliance with the agreement by December 15.
