Zarif: Iran to spare no effort to end bloodshed in Yemen

Tehran, April 20, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday expressed Iran's deep worry on ruthless massacre of defenseless, innocent Yemeni citizens and destroying of their country's infrastructures, repeating Iran's resolve to do all its best to end bloodshed.
Zarif made the comment in a meeting with the visiting Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad on Monday evening.
The two top diplomats reviewed the topmost important regional and international developments.
The Iranian foreign minister in the mean time announced the Iranian nation's support and appreciation for the Syrian brave campaign against the foreign-backed terrorists, emphasizing the need for continuation of dialogue between the Syrian government and the non-terrorist dissidents.
Faisal al-Miqdad conveyed the best regards of the Syrian president, foreign minister, and nation to the Iranian government and nation and their appreciation for the Iranians all-out support for the Syrians.
The Syrian official briefed the foreign minister on the latest developments on the warfronts of the campaign against the Zionist-backed Daesh.
He acknowledged the Iranian foreign minister about the Syrian officials' recent talks in Moscow with the representatives of the Syrian opposition groups.
He highlighted the great significance of Lausanne statement, arguing that Iran's achievements in its campaign for materializing its absolute rights enter joy in the hearts of all the developing nations.
The Syrian official supported Iran's four-point peace plan for ending the insane bloodshed launched by the merciless Saudi government and strongly denounced the brutal massacre of the innocent Yemeni citizens.
Meanwhile, al-Miqdad said that the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al Moallem will attend the upcoming ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran.
