Leader says Iran should be ready against threats
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, April 19, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said enemies 'shamelessly' keep threatening Iran with military operations.
The Ayatollah made the remarks here on Sunday while addressing a group of the Iranian Army commanders and staff members.
The meeting took place on the occasion of the National Army Day in Iran.
The Leader said even if they did not pose their threats in vivid terms, Iran would have to take precautionary measures and make the necessary preparations.
'They threaten us and then expect the Islamic Republic of Iran not to develop a military might,' said the leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the other parties keep posing shameless threats against Iran while the nation has repeatedly proven in the past that it would defend itself quite powerfully.
The Leader went on to stress the readiness of the Iranian nation to defend the country as a single body and said the whole nation would come out as one tight fist to resist the aggressors.
He added now they are focusing on the fabricated myth of the atomic bomb to pretend that Iran is a source of menace while they have to know that the very source of threat is the US itself which keeps making unjustified interventions in countries.
The Iranian Leader said though all these bitter incidents are underway in Yemen, the US keeps supporting the oppressors.
