Iran's Army drones to be armed with missile, rocket: Cmdr.

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force's Drone Group Colonel Reza Khaki said the force's drones would be armed with missile and rocket.

The ground force's drone capacity needs to be improved. "We have obtained higher technology on drones and we will equip the ground force's drones with missile and rocket in upcoming drills."

He said Iran is capable of arming old drones with missile and rocket and build new drones capable of carrying missile and rocket.

Khaki noted that Ra'ad 85 (Thunder 85) drone is a small cruise missile meticulously hits targets with its powerful warhead.

It hits the pre-determined objectives and can receive new objectives and route while moving, Khaki said.

He continued that the Ground Forces is among powerful regional armies in building drones.
