TEHRAN (ISNA)- Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan warned that Iran would give a more crushing and deadly response to any attack.
"We do not want to launch aggression against country, but if any country wants to materialize the illusion of aggression against Iran, it will receive a more deadly blow than its attack," he said.
Pourdastan also lauded the readiness of the Army's ground forces in protecting and securing borders, and said, the forces are fully aware of military missions and are of considerable combat power.
"Today, the ground forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran can confront any aggression against independence and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iran's interests."
Late August, Iran's defense minister said Tehran will give a crushing response to any enemy aggression against Iranian soil.
"Iran will respond to any aggression, from any aggressor, under any circumstances, and aggressors will definitely receive a crushing ... response. This is a serious message from Iran," Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan told the Iranian state television.
