Iran opens anti-ship cruise missile production line

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran inaugurated the production line of a long-range anti-ship cruise missile in a ceremony attended by Iranian Minister of Defense Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan.
"We are now witnessing inauguration of the production line and delivery of the efficient and strategic missile after accomplishing research, building models, successful flight tests and unveiling 'Qadir' (Mighty) naval missile," Dehghan said in the ceremony.
Swift reaction, low altitude flight, high speed in navigation, hitting targets precisely, high destruction power and anti-electronic war characteristics are some features of the missile which can also be launched from vessels and helicopters.
"High precision, speed and quality of the important tool has considerably boosted combat power of the armed forces in air, sea and ground," he said.
The missile can identify and hit naval objectives in seas with the range of 300 km.
