Zarif: Nuclear talks approaching sensitive stages
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 28, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran's nuclear negotiations with the world powers are nearing sensitive stages.
He made the remarks here on Saturday in a joint press conference with his visiting Italian counterpart Paolo Gentiloni.
He referred to the content of nuclear talks with the 5+1 during the past week as 'precise' and said there was good progress in talks last week.
He hoped similar progress would be made in issues discussed in the talks as well, especially the anti-Iran sanctions.
Zarif said his operational program to achieve an agreement focused on the progress made during the talks which would in turn lead to drafting and signing of a comprehensive and precise agreement.
The Italian foreign minister arrived in Tehran on Friday evening on his first visit of Iran at the top of a high ranking delegation for a two-day stay upon the invitation of Zarif.
He is discussing issues of mutual interest with Iranian high ranking officials, including strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
