Iran rebukes US State Department for interference in Iran's affairs
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 15, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Sunday rebuked the US state department for blatant interference in Iran's internal affairs.
Reacting to a press release of the US State Department made comments about conduct of the Iranian Judiciary and arrest of individuals, Afkham said that Washington perpetrated blatant interference in Iranian domestic affairs.
She made clear that the press release was an obvious case of interference in Iran's internal affairs and in direct contrast with US administration's commitments in Algiers Accord.
'It is appropriate for the US officials to focus on observation of the US citizens rights and block the path for the occurrence of such events as the recent murdering of three young American Muslim university students, rather than make such irrelevant comments and advising the other governments,' the spokesperson said.
