Iranian Army receives indigenous advanced fighter

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Air Forces of Iranian Army received locally-made advanced fighter in a ceremony on the verge of the 36th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Victory.
The ceremony was attended by Iranian Deputy Minister of Defense General Amir Hatami.
"The two-cabin supersonic fighter of 'Saegheh 2' (Thunderbolt 2) has been built by experts of Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army and Aviation Industries Organization of Iran," Hatami said.
The fighter can be used for tactical missions and training pilots in advanced phases.
The new designs in the fighter boosts its combat power. Avionics systems and advanced weapons have been used in the fighter.
