Iran adds helicopters to air-sea fleet

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran added several helicopters to its air-sea fleet and unveiled armed units in a ceremony in Abbas Port, located in southern Iran.
Demining RH helicopters, anti-subsurface SH helicopters and surveillance AB helicopters were added to Iranian air-sea fleet.
Iran also unveiled armed units comprising of Fajr and Shams classes frigate and a Sirik-class cruiser.
Commander of Iran's Army Major General Ataollah Salehi taking part in the ceremony, said the Army's Ground Forces floats and helicopters have been armed with the best cruise missiles.
'We have armed our floats and helicopters to the best cruise missiles. The missiles have increased Iranian Navy's power.'
He further noted that the Navy's presence in high seas aim at protecting interests of the country and peace, adding the country has managed to rebuild its navigation equipment, and is conducting navigation activities in the distant seas.
