TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani reiterated that the West's excuses is an obstacle to negotiations between the country and the G5+1.
'Iran's nuclear talks is on a growing course, but some excuses made by the West and the US can be an obstacle to it,' he said in a meeting with Chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergey Yevgenyevich Naryshkin here in Tehran.
Larijani also referred to regional and international developments, and said, 'The role of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia in dealing with regional and international crises, especially fighting terrorism and extremism in the region is unavoidably important which should be boosted further.'
He also blamed some regional and cross-regional countries for forming and creating terrorist groups, and said the groups can be curbed only tactically and through propaganda.
Sergey Yevgenyevich Naryshkin, for his part, lauded Iran's positive and constructive role in regional crises and Syria and Iraq's conflicts and said, 'Iran and Russia played a constructive role in establishing stability and security and return of calm to Iraq and Syria whose conflicts were made by the West and the US.'
He further noted that continuous cooperation and consultation between the two countries would create more security in the region.
