Basij comdr.: Enemies spare no efforts to curb Irans progress

Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA -- Commander of Basij (volunteer) Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naghdi said on Wednesday that the US and other enemies of the Islamic system spare no efforts to curb the countrys developments by imposing economic sanctions and even taking harmful measures to paralyze the countrys economy.
It is illogical to assume that the enemies will remain committed to their pledges and avoid taking action against the countrys economic development, he said.
The enemies of the Islamic system never give up their stands, underlined Naghdi.
Western countries might be opposed or agree with imposition of economic sanctions against Iran but the US has been going ahead with its measures against Iranian economy, he said.
