Velayati criticizes selective approach to Iran nuclear program

Tehran, Oct 28, IRNA -- Head of the Center for Strategic Research of Irans Expediency Council Ali-Akbar Velayati on Tuesday criticized selective approaches taken by certain P5+1 member states towards Irans nuclear program.
Velayati made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with Director General of the Department of Arms Control of Chinas Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wang Qun.
Velayati accused those member states of trying to put Iran under pressure.
He also underlined the significance of Tehran-Beijing ties, citing remarks by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who had called for strategic relations between the two countries.
The veteran Iranian diplomat who used to serve as foreign minister for sixteen years went on to say that there are no limits to promotion of relations between Iran and China.
Velayati said that different meetings in recent years between the presidents and other high-ranking officials of the two countries could translate into a turning point in Tehran-Beijing relations.
