Iranian nation not to allow penetration into borders, says Zarif

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reiterated that the Iranian nation enjoying massive hardware strength would not allow penetration inside the country's borders.
'Our great nation with enormous hardware capability has strengthened their confidence to not allow any country's greed and penetration inside Iranian borders,' he said.
Zarif noted that Iran would use this capability for progress and development of technology in all fields, especially new technologies.'
In relevant remarks, Iranian Defense Ministry in a statement stressed the full preparedness of the Armed Forces, specially the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), to defend the country's interests and territories, and said they will give an 'unforgettable' response to potential aggressors.
'Inspired by the everlasting advice of the Late Imam (Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution) and the guidelines of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei), the Islamic Republic's Armed Forces, specially the IRGC and the country's defense industry sector, have deeply realized the threats and the future facing the country and are striving to pursue support for the defensive might and deterrence power with national resolve and jihadi and revolutionary management and approach,' the statement said on Monday on the threshold of the anniversady of the establishment of the IRGC in Iran (April 22).
It said that the Armed Forces, specially the IRGC, will give the enemies and ill-wishers an 'unforgettable' lesson in case they dare to pose danger and threat to the country in practice.
The Iranian military commanders have on many occasions downplayed the US and its allies' war rhetoric against Iran, but meantime warned that the country's Armed Forces will give a swift and crushing response to any aggressive military move.
'In case of any threat, our response will be more deadly and heavier,' Commander of the Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said in Tehran earlier April.
He underlined Tehran's policy of keeping peace and tranquility in the region and the world, but meanwhile said Iran monitors the moves of the regional and trans-regional states day and night and if any aggression is made against the country, it will receive a crushing response.
