Iran, G5+1 to take voluntary steps to prove goodwill about nuclear agreement

Tehran, Aug 18, IRNA -- Legal Advisor to Foreign Ministry Jamshid Momtaz said on Monday that the Joint Plan of Action, the interim nuclear deal signed on November 24, 2013, is not an international treaty and the two sides will voluntarily take actions in six months or six plus four months to show their goodwill.
Speaking to a National Seminar on Progress in Nuclear Policies of the Government of Prudence and Hope and Legal Nature of the Interim Nuclear Agreement 2013, Momtaz expressed objection to terming the Interim Nuclear Agreement as an international treaty.
Momtaz made clear that in case of violation of the agreement or refusal to implement, no party shoulders international obligation to.
On content of the interim nuclear deal, Momtaz said that in the six plus four months we fulfilled the undertaking to enrich uranium not more than five percent, and did not expand the power plants and facilities in Natanz, Fordo and Arak and did not set up other bases and nuclear facilities.
He said the Joint Action Plan has also specified highlights of the subjects which should be discussed in next four months after the deadline expired on July 20.
