Iran to unveil new missile systems in September

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA -- Commander of Khatam ul-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili announced here on Wednesday that the country plans to unveil new missile and radar systems in late September.
Speaking to reporters, Esmaeili underscored that Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base is planned to design and produce drone and manned aircrafts, adding that appropriate funds have been allocated to the purpose.
According to the official announcement of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Islamic Republic of Iran has the safest airspace among the Middle East countries, he added.
In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
