Army Commander: G 5+1 should be committed to its obligations

Tehran, April 21, IRNA -- An Army commander said that if Group 5+1 is not committed to its obligations, Iran has no insistence on continuation of nuclear talks and will access other nuclear products in a short period of time.
Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan made the remarks in a meeting with foreign military attachés in Tehran on Sunday evening.
He commemorated Army Day, adding that Iran's army is trying to have appropriate relations with armies of friendly countries and is trying to take steps in direction of maintaining peace and security in the region and the world by holding joint meetings.
Iranians, upon their religious beliefs, are opposed to producion and use of nuclear arms and mass destruction weapons, said the general.
General Pourdastan added that Iran has been hurt by terrorists many times.
He said security and tranquility are based on international and regional cooperation and no government or nation can provide its own security alone.
