TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran announced that it has not yet started oxidation of its 20 percent enriched uranium as well as new reserves of 5 percent enriched uranium.
Spokesman of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi called 'positive' the IAEA two-page report on Geneva deal, saying that the report suggests Iran has complied with its commitments.
He said Iran is continuing cooperation with the IAEA, and as shown in the reports the required measures were taken in the agreed time frame.
He further added that none of Iran's 20 percent enriched uranium as well as five percent enriched uranium reserves have been oxidated so far.
'Iran is trying to embark on oxidation over the next three months based on the Geneva deal, and as it has been mentioned in a footnote in the IAEA report, lack of launching facilities for oxidation process does not run counter to Iran's commitments which should be complied by July 20.'
