TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif criticized his US counterpart John Kerry for his remarks that the country faces 'tough decision' in nuclear talks that the world could assure that its nuclear program is merely for peaceful purposes.

'I think that the US administration sometimes makes remarks to settle its internal problems. Such remarks are based on prejudgment and preoccupations made by themselves,' he said in a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Evangelos Venizelos here in Tehran on Saturday.

'…They know and we know that Iran has never sought nuclear weapons and we should not make any tough decision. We announced that our nuclear program still remains in place, and it will be peaceful as it used to be. No part of our nuclear program will be shut down.'

He also recommended the US officials not to express any word which make them to return it later.

'Iran has never sought nuclear weapons. The decision has already been made, and Iran has been and will never be after nuclear weapons.

He also said, 'We believe that the US should make a very tough decision and view things realistically and without fantasies.'
