TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran unveiled new defense projects and achievements, including advanced systems in electronic defense.
Iran unveiled five production lines of defense projects, and unveiled 13 other projects, said Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan.
'Regarding radar fields, two defense protection systems are ready to be delivered to the forces and they are long-range advanced search radars for aerial protection. Our country's defense capability will be promoted further with producing the systems working as early alarming radars in the country's defense network.'
He added Iran also launched two military lamps, an X-ray lamp and also a five-liter oxygen convertor required by the pilots.
A smart guidance system for precision-guided ballistic missiles and smart composite armor were the pieces of military hardware which were unveiled during the ceremony as well.
The new guidance system will improve the precision of ballistic missiles. This feature along with ballistic missiles' destructive power and their capability to overcome anti-missile systems will significantly increase the combat capabilities of the country's armed forces.
On February 11, Iran test-fired a laser-guided surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missile named Bina (Insightful) and the new generation of a long-range ballistic missile.
The US officials have said that Iran's ballistic missile program should be addressed as part of a comprehensive nuclear deal between Iran and the major powers.
However, Iran has announced that it has no intention of discussing its ballistic missile program with the six powers.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran's defense issues are neither negotiable nor subject to compromise. They are definitely among our red lines in any talks," Abbas Araqchi, the Iranian deputy foreign minister and a chief negotiator, told Iranian state television recently.
