IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that he was not optimistic about the outcome of the nuclear talks but he has no objection to them.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks here Monday morning while meeting with thousands of people from East Azarbaijan province on the eve of their uprising anniversary against the Shah regime in 1978.
The Supreme Leader commented on Iran's nuclear talks with the 5+1 and said some officials in the past and present cabinets believe that negotiations on Irans nuclear program would result in the settlement of the issue.
However, the Ayatollah added, though he is not optimistic about the results of the nuclear talks and thinks they will go to nowhere, he is not against them.
Ayatollah Khamenei further stressed that the undeniable message of the Islamic Revolution is that the nation will never yield to the hegemonic powers.
The Supreme Leader advised certain people not to try to disguise the true face of the US in a bid to introduce it as a humanitarian state which cares about human beings.
The Ayatollah reiterated that such an effort would fail.
