Ballistic long-range missile raises Irans deterrence power: minister

Semnan, Feb 11, IRNA -- Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan referred to successful testing of ballistic long-range missile and said that the missile remarkably increases deterrence power of the Islamic Republic.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the Bahman 22 Rallies on Tuesday, Dehqan added that the weapon belongs to the new generation of missiles which will soon be made available to the armed forces.
Iranian nation have always been seeking to improve its defense power, he said, noting that testing the missile signals a message to those beating drums of war.
Defense minister also hailed mass turnout in the rallies on Bahman 22, saying that the people created another epic on that day.
Millions of Iranians nationwide took to streets on February 11 (Bahman 22) to mark the triumph anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and declare their support to the Islamic Revolution.
