IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 8, IRNA -- Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Saturday that Iran-IAEA talks are progressing and will continue on Sunday.
The talks are good, constructive and progressing. The parties will continue with consultations tomorrow. The two parties held about five-hour negotiations. They will proceed with tomorrow as well, said Kamalvandi.
He said that they are negotiating a variety of issues in the context of Tehran declaration signed by the AEOI head Ali-Akbar Salehi and the IAEA chief Yukiya Amano on November 11.
They have focused on six issues agreed upon in the Tehran declaration as well as issues relating to Iran-IAEA future cooperation as the experts from the two parties have raised matters of concern, he added.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran expects tangible progress to be made in resolving the ambiguities in light of the current series of cooperation with the UN agency.
He said the IAEA voiced satisfaction with the Iranian cooperation following the Tehran declaration.
