Iran modernizes war ships to confront air, missile strikes

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Deputy Commander of Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Abbas Zamini announced the country has overhauled two missile launchers in order to confront missile and air strikes.
'Following the repairs on the two warships of Neyzeh and Tabarzin, their capability for confronting the air and missile attacks have increased,' Zamini said.
He further noted that the strategic Navy is capable of conducting all repairs on marine equipment.
The two missile launchers weigh 275 tons with 33 marine knots.
The missile systems of Qader and Nour were installed on the war ships. Three engines and the main generator were overhauled and a new radar system were installed on them.
