TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran is seeking more cooperation with the IAEA in order to settle all remaining issues, said Iranian Permanent Envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Reza Najafi.
'Iran is seeking improvement of cooperation and talks with the agency in order to settle all remaining issues not resolved yet by the IAEA. The country is seeking establishment of a commission comprising of EU3=3 and Iran in order to monitor the agreed measures. Iran's cooperation with the IAEA is in line with verification of the relevant nuclear issues under the 'Joint Action Plan',' he said speaking at the Board of Governors (BoG) meeting.
He further added the three measures put forward by Iran would be implemented in three months and the then the two sides would discuss practical measures for next phases.
The Iranian official also reiterated that use of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass-destruction are in contradiction with Iranian defense and Iranian Islamic teachings, and have no place in Iranian defense doctrine.
'The Islamic Republic of Iran as a victim of weapons of mass-destruction strongly believes that possession of nuclear weapons does not provide security for any country.'
