A member of the Iranian negotiating team has expressed Tehran's determination to pursue its "inalienable" nuclear rights during future negotiations with the six major world powers.
Director General for Political and International Affairs at Iran's Foreign Ministry Hamid Ba'eedinejad met with Chinese Ambassador to Tehran Yu Hongyang on Sunday where they discussed the latest developments concerning the recent Iran-Sextet nuclear talks in the Swiss city of Geneva.
The two sides emphasized the importance of "close and effective" cooperation during future negotiations between Iran and the six powers.
On Saturday, Ba'eedinejad held talks with Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Dzhagaryan on the prospects of a possible deal to be discussed in the next round of nuclear talks which will begin in Geneva on November 20.
On November 7, Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - the US, France, Britain, Russia and China - plus Germany kicked off intense negotiations over Tehran's nuclear energy program in Geneva.
The two sides did not reach an agreement, but stressed that significant progress had been made and expressed optimism about the prospect of a possible deal in the future.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said on Monday that the two sides at recent Geneva talks over Iran's nuclear energy program narrowed differences and improved their understanding, though the subject is 'too complicated to be solved at one stroke.'
As two permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and Russia have always supported the Islamic Republic's right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes and stressed that negotiations are the right approach to addressing the issue.
