TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the country has put prudence and logic on the table of talks with the world, as stressing that uranium enrichment is the country's 'red line'.
'The Islamic Republic of Iran has put rationality, logic and prudence on the table of its talks. The right of Iranian nation is a red line for us,' he told Iranian Parliament for a meeting on vote of confidence for the proposed Sports and Youth Minister on Sunday.
'We have told the negotiating sides, verbally and in practice, that we will not respond to sanction, humiliation and discrimination at all.'
He further added that Iran will never cross its red lines, as stressing that, 'national interests are our red line which includes rights, nuclear rights under the framework of international regulations, including enrichment inside Iranian soil.' Rouhani further noted that the word 'nuclear' means 'peaceful technology' in Iran, adding that Iranian nation should enjoy its legal rights.
'For others trust our words that we want peaceful nuclear technology for development not for threatening others, that is, we are following this route for peaceful purposes not for building nuclear bombs, I should say if the word nuclear is used in Iran, it means peaceful technology.'
