Rohani to renew allegiance to late Imam Khomeini

Tehran, June 16, IRNA -- President-elect Hassan Rohani is scheduled to renew allegiance to late Imam Khomeini, the founder of Islamic Republic of Iran by presence at mausoleum of his eminency.
With 18, 613, 329 votes, Rohani was elected as Iran's new president in a landslide victory on Friday election.
He will officially take office on August 3 after taking oath and receiving a decree from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Rohani will succeed incumbent president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as the seventh Iranian president.
