IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, June 3, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Araqchi, reacting to French President remarks said that French officials are taking stances against Iran peaceful nuclear activities with baseless claims, which are not conforming with existing realities.
Araqchi said it is amazing that officials from a country such as France, with long background of independence seeking, are distorting the truth to please an illgitimate regime.
He also stressed that recently French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius had presented fake claims on Iran's stances for Syria, while Iran has always been pursuing a peaceful settlement to Syria crisis.
Referring to destructive stances of a number of states on Syria crisis, the spokesman said that, unfortunately, these countries' policies to support and arm irresponsible groups have had consequences of pain, sufferring, intensified casualties and financial damage for Syrian people and increasing insecurity in the country and the region.
