IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 21, IRNA -- People's Supporters Headquarters of Esfndiar Rahim-Masha'ie issued a communiqué following announcement of legible candidates for 11th IRI Presidential Elections.
According to IRNA, the Dowlat-e Bahar (Spring Time Government) website which has published the full text of People's Supporters Headquarters of Esfndiar Rahim-Masha'ie about the results of rejecting competence of 11th Presidential Election hopefuls partly reads as follows:
The Glorious Qur'an orders you to observe justice and to give the trusted duties to those who truly deserve them.
Also, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei) said in the spring of 2013, 'In upcoming election the entire political tastes must participate; this is both the right of everyone and the duty of them. Elections do not belong to any certain taste; they do not belong to any certain thought, or political trend. All those who are interested in the Islamic Republic system and in the independence of the country, those who care about the future of Iran and their hearts beat for national interests must participate in this election. Turning backs to the elections is appropriate for those who are opposed with the Islamic system.'
After announcement of surveying the legitimacy of the presidential election candidates of the 11th Presidential Election of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the respected Guardians Council in which the legitimacy of Engineer Masha'ie for running for president in March 2013 is rejected, we feel obliged to let the noble Iranian nation to know the following points:
This headquarters would pursue the matter thru legal channels resorting to entire existing potentials, spending our greatest possible efforts to encourage the respected Guardians Council to review and revise its decision in this respect.
Also, since the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution (long live) had earlier addressed the members of the Guardians council, saying, 'I emphasize that you should take extreme care not to trample upon the rights of any individual, because rejecting the legitimacy of a candidate is not a trivial matter; I mean what if we reject someone's legitimacy for running and he would be fit for the purpose by any chance? Defaming is a very great matter. It is not right to say that we recognized this way; no! Convincing replies must exist. I do not want to get into details, but during the past few days some weak arguments were made. You must act based on firm reasoning. I have always told the dear friends at the Guardians Council that they should try to strengthen the ground under their feet; they should not stand on a shaky ground; there should be no ambiguity, no deviation from the laws, nor any shortcoming in abiding by the laws.'
Therefore, we request the knowledgeable Leader of Islamic Revolution to assist us in blocking the path for annulment of the nation's basic rights in the way for materializing the political epic, believing that under the supportive umbrella of that just Supreme Leader no breaching of justice would take place, and if any such thing has occurred, correcting it by resorting to appropriate moves is possible.
We also request the esteemed IRI President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in this respect to take advantage of his legal status as the head of the executive branch of power and the person in charge of implementing the IRI Constitution to interfere in order to end breaching the possible legal rights.
The Headquarters of Masha'ie Supporters has at the end invited its entire branches to observe full patience and to have trust in the leadership of the Supreme Leader and his role at times such as this, inviting the entire nation to participate enthusiastically at the upcoming Presidential Elections, to safeguard the blood of the revolution's martyrs and to dishearten the enemies of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Revolution.
