Ahmadinejad: Iran's progress serves regional security

Bandar Anzali, March 17, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that Iran's development and progress serve the security of the Caspian Sea region.
President Ahmadinejad made the remakes in a special ceremony to launch domestically-made Jamaran 2 destroyer at Bandar Anzali on Sunday.
'I am quite confident that Caspian Sea littoral states are happy with Iran's development and regard it in line with their own security,' he said.
Caspian Sea is the sea of brotherhood, durable security and campaign against extremism and those endangering the security of regional nations, he said.
Iran's policy is based on promoting solidarity, friendship and convergence among nations, he said.
On the West's propaganda against Iran's peaceful nuclear program, he said the fact is that nuclear science has been indegenized by Iranian scientists and this cannot be wiped out from their minds even in the event Iranian nuclear facilities are bombed.
Lauding the invaluable services of Iranian experts in building Jamaran-2 destroyer, he said the Iranian youth and scientists enjoy high spirit and are quited capable of handling their affairs.
Any nation that attains self-sufficiency and independence will achieve dignity and resistance, he said.
President Ahmadinejad also hailed a number of scientists, experts and managers engaged in building Jamaran-2 advanced destroyer.
