Iran nuclear issue will be solved: Salehi

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, March 1, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi underlined Friday Iran's nuclear issue will be solved, saying that both sides have got the feeling that there is a way out of the problem.

Asked about his view on Iran-5+1G talks and if the talks will really get anywhere, he said that he certainly hopes that the issue will be solved.

Certainly, Iran's case will not be the same as those of North Korea or Libya, he said, noting, 'We are sure about the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program.'

Salehi further noted that although the West has created obstacles in the way of the Iranian nation, our nation is both aware and vigilant.

Referring to massive turnout in nationwide demonstrations marking the 34th victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he said that the people are not tired of the economic pressures and they are on the contrary more determined than ever before.

The foreigners also understand that they will get nowhere by imposing more pressure, he said.

Salehi also ensured both the Iranian nationa and the world that the nuclear issue will be solved in forseeable future.

TheAmericans have recently voiced readiness to hold talks with Iran and this time their request was different from the past, showing signs of their being serious and determined to thaw the ice of the decades old severed ties.
