Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman says any new offer from the P5+1 group of world powers in forthcoming talks with Tehran should match Iran's comprehensive package of proposals.
"I hope that in the next meeting, the opposite party's offers would be on equal footing with comprehensive proposals submitted [to the P5+1] by the representatives of our country," Ramin Mehmanparast said on Monday.
He added that the negotiations should move towards full recognition of Iran's nuclear rights while dispelling any allegation and allaying possible concerns about the nature of the Islamic Republic's nuclear energy program.
Iran and the P5+1 -- including Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States plus Germany -- have agreed to hold the next round of talks with a focus on Iran's nuclear energy program in Kazakhstan on February 26.
"In the last meeting held between Iran and the P5 +1 group, Iran's representatives presented a comprehensive package, which envoys from the P5+1 group confirmed was all-inclusive and constructive," Mehmanparast stated.
The last round of negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 was held in Moscow in June 2012.
The United States, Israel, and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.
Iran rejects the allegation, arguing that as a committed signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it is entitled to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
Referring to the ongoing crisis in Syria, Mehmanparast reaffirmed Iran's support for the national dialogue as the key solution to the Syria crisis.
"If we could use Iran potentials to make this (dialogue) happen, we would not hesitate to do so," he said.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011. Many people, including large numbers of security forces, have been killed in the turmoil.
