Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA -- Some 256 Majlis representatives in a statement on Sunday apologized to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution for the controversial impeachment session which ended in disarray after the president accused Majlis speaker's brother of financial corruption.
The MPs made it clear that honoring guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is a religious and legal obligation.
They said in their statement that the Supreme Leader's advice accounts for the road map of the Islamic Revolution concerning the domestic and global issues.
The MPs vowed to forge unity and solidarity in carrying out their duties and rendering services to nations.
'We assure the noble Iranian nation who demonstrated their glory on Feb 10 marking the 34th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution that their servants at Majlis are to follow the guidelines of Supreme Leader as before in their struggle with global arrogance led by the US,' read the statement.
On Iran's peaceful nuclear activities, the statement read that 'We are to employ our capabilities to seriously tackle the unfair sanctions and turn them into an opportunity for national dignity and glory.'
