President renews allegiance to Supreme Leader

Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday renewed allegiance to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Ahmadinejad wrote a letter to the Supreme Leader to acknowledge the Leader's criticism about his behavior with the parliament.
The president who had attended a parliament session to defend the labor minister to get vote of confidence for the minister, accused Majlis speaker's brother of financial corruption. The parliament session ended in disarray and the speaker did not allow Ahmadinejad to proceed.
Ahmadinejad wrote in his letter that the royalty of the cabinet ministers to his Excellency is forever.
''Áll members of the cabinet are determined to respect values of the Islamic Revolution and serve the nation until last moments in the office,'' read the letter.
'I assure you that we will make our best efforts to serve nation and stay on the track with the Islamic Revolution and help remove obstacles and under no circumstances, we will take any action against the country's interest,' said the president in the letter.
