Lavrov: IAEA visit of Parchin not to yield any unexpected result

Moscow, Jan 24, IRNA -- Russian Foreign Minister said here Wednesday IAEA inspectors have already visited Iran's Parching site once and therefore, a second visit of it cannot yield any unexpected results.
According to IRNA, Sergei Lavrov who was speaking at a gathering of reporters in Moscow added, 'A delegation of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors recently had a visit of Iran to harmonize about the details of a modality regarding the Iranian nuclear program.'
He added, 'Our Iranian partners have emphasized that they are after reaching a full agreement on that document before issuing any new permit for visiting other sites.'
Lavrov said, 'We believe our Iranian partners can work faster in these regards and respond positively to the proposals of the IAEA inspectors who are after reaching agreements and drafting an appropriate text.'
The Russian foreign minister said, 'I believe the issue of visiting different facilities, including Parchin, can be included in the framework of the two sides' conditions.'
A reporter asked about the place of the next round of the Iran-5+1 Group talks.
Lavrov replied, 'The talks would be held for sure and the place of them is therefore of a secondary level of importance.'
The Russian foreign minister noted that the technical talks about the place and time of those negotiations are underway, and I do not know the reason for the importance of the place of them.
Lavrov meanwhile warned Israel and the West on in the press conference against any military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities while suggesting Tehran to be quicker to cooperate over inspections of its nuclear sites.
Speaking at his annual news conference, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, 'Attempts to prepare and implement strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and on its infrastructure as a whole are a very, very dangerous idea. We hope these ideas will not come to fruition,' Lavrov said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted strongly at possible military action to stop Iran from developing an atomic bomb. In an election victory speech on Wednesday, he said preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons would be the main challenge for a new government.

Russia is going to veto any UN Security Council resolution allowing for a "dual interpretation" or paving way for a military attack against Iran, Russia's foreign chief Sergei Lavrov said.
He said the Libyan crisis proved that a military scenario in Iran couldn't be ruled out. "That's why we will be extremely demanding in regard to any moves within the UN Security Council".
