Official cautions against enemy attempts to influence Iran's upcoming presidential election

Shahre-Rey, Tehran prov, Jan 23, IRNA -- Deputy Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Naser Dehghan on Wednesday warned against the enemy's attempts to influence the upcoming presidential elections in Iran, urging the Iranian nation to remain vigilant.
"We should make every effort to hold a sound election and under a calm political atmosphere with high participation of all groups," he said.
He added that in 2009 post presidential election events enemies managed to bring together counter-revolutionary, communist and monarchist groups but thanks God they were defeated.
He also said that if some with any political tendencies like seditionists try to destabilize the country once again, they will receive a crushing response from the Iranian nation.
Elsewhere in his remarks Dehghan warned that the enemies have already started their activities to influence the elections.
