IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Jan 4, IRNA -- Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili once again on Friday reiterated Iran's right to having access to peaceful nuclear energy within the framework of non-proliferation treaty (NPT).

Jalili made the remarks at a press conference held in Iran's Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday.

'Iran as a NPT member-state stresses its right to fully benefit from its nuclear rights while at the same time maintaining its role as an active member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and non-proliferation treaty (NPT),' he added.

Jalili noted that IAEA inspectors have visited Iran's nuclear activities more than 5,000 times in the past several years.

He said that IAEA chief has also mentioned 25 times in his reports that there is not even a document which is indicative of Iran's deviation from its path of peaceful nuclear activities.
