IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Oct 29, IRNA -- The Islamic Republic Army Navy's 22nd flotilla berthed on a Sudanese port on Monday.
The flotilla, including Khark helicopter carrier navy and Shahid Naqdi Destroyer, aimed to echo the message of peace and friendship to the neighboring states and guarantee security of the seafaring and shipping lines vis-a-vis sea piracy.
The commanders of the Iranian flotilla met with Sudanese navy commanders during the berthing ceremony.
The flotilla had left Bandar Abbas 1st Maritime Zone for the free and international waters in September to conduct the mission.
