Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA -- Commander of Iranian border guards, Brigadier General Hossein Zolfaqari, announced that his forces have arrested a would-be suicide bomber along the border with Afghanistan.
“After the Friday suicide operation in southeastern Chabahar city (in Sistan and Baluchestan province), a person who intended to cross the border with Afghanistan on Saturday was detained by the border guards,” General Zolfaqari told a press conference on Sunday.
Zolfaqari said the terrorist is an affiliate of the Jundollah group - a notorious terrorist organization with a long track record of staging terrorist activities in Iran.
'According to investigations and interrogations, he (the terrorist) was due to enter the country (Iran) and receive the bombing devices and explosives through subsequent orders,' he added.
