Supreme Leader: Not following western models prerequisite for formation of Islamic life style

Tehran, October 14, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that having faith and restraining from imitating western life style would help establish and promote Islamic life style.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with thousands of young Iranians in North Khorassan province Sunday morning.
The meeting was held as a large group of young people gathered in the central prayers ground of the city of Bojnourd in the northeastern province of North Khorassan.
The Supreme Leader invited the youths and intellectuals to score more success in the fields of science, industry and economy in order to get calmness, security, development and progress.
Some countries in the world blindly imitate western civilization which will be very harmful to them, the Supreme Leader said.
Freedom-seeking nations that ignore western civilization and try to choose monotheism will attain real development, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
Islamic culture and life style meets people's needs, underlined the Supreme Leader.
Western culture seeks to dominate other nations and uproot their culture and identity, the Supreme Leader warned.
Ayatollah Khamenei advised all people to avoid secularism which separate religion from life.
The talented and energetic youths are able to remove all obstacles and help establish a very brilliant Islamic civilization, the Supreme Leader said.
The meeting was held on the fifth day of the Supreme Leader’s provincial tour.
Prior to Ayatollah Khamenei's remarks, five young people delivered speeches on the issues pertaining to the youth and university students.
