IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Sept 29, IRNA -- Supreme Leader's Advisor for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati said Iran has never refrained from talks with the 5+1 and is ready for negotiations any time they ask.
Talking to reporters on Saturday, he noted that the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili, too has already voiced his readiness to continue negotiations.
Saying that Iran's policies are all positive, he stressed that it is Tehran’s right to make peaceful use of nuclear technology within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty regulations.
Commenting on the US decision to cross out the name of the terrorist Mujahedeen-e Khalq Organization (MKO) from its list of terrorist organizations, he said the measure proves the failure of US policies.
On Iran’s positions regarding negotiations with the US, the Supreme Leader’s advisor said Tehran’s policies are the same as before, stressing that there are no decisions to change them.
He noted that Iran stands loyal to the policies set by the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini which have been pursued by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
