IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Sept 29, IRNA -- Commander of Army's ground force Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan referred to the force Saturday as one of the world's uncontested forces capable of appropriately safeguarding the country's territorial integrity.
Speaking on the sidelines of inaugural ceremony of an exhibition on the grand force's latest achievements, the commander said the force is highly prepared to confront any possible threats.
He stressed that the force enjoys high levels of combat and defensive powers.
Reiterating deterrent power of the Iranian grand force, commander Pourdastan said the grand force enjoys rich experiences gained during eight years of Iraq's imposed war against Iran (1980-1988) and closely monitoring the two Persian Gulf wars.
