Commander: Probable aggressors will face deadly response from Iran

Tehran, Sept 26. IRNA -- Commander of Ground Forces of Army Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said on Wednesday any probable aggressors will definitely face deadly response from Iranian armed forces.
He made the remarks in the morning parade of ground forces of Army.
Pourdastan said the arrogant powers led by the US supported Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and his Baathist army to invade Khuzestan province of Iran in order to destroy fledgling Islamic Revolution which had jeopardized their interests.
"But Iranian army courageously defended Iran's territorial integrity, despite the Iraqi Army had been armed to the teeth by Washington and Paris.
Iranian Army was passing a period of disarray after collapse of the US-backed regime of Pahlavi.
The commander said nowadays Iran is well equiped and armed with the most modern defensive equipment and can stop any aggression before the enemy pull the trigger.
Pourdastan said Iran is not to attack any country and its defensive doctrine is deterrent but in case of being attacked will give a devastating and crushing response to the aggressors.
